PROVIDING HOPE to grieving mothers and families
Hospice Care of the Lowcountry’s Harper Project was founded by Heather Quinn as a way of coping with the loss of her newborn daughter. Quinn partnered with Hospice Care of the Lowcountry in order to widen her reach to other local organizations and help more families who may be struggling. At the Harper Project, we strive to help families through the grieving process of pregnancy and newborn loss through bi-weekly grief support services, burial resources, and more.
Services:
- Ensuring that local hospitals have information to direct families towards Hospice Care of the Lowcountry
- Providing resources for financial assistance to families
- Assisting families with burial resources
- Hosting Bi-Weekly Grief Support services at Hospice Care of the Lowcountry facilitated by a social worker or counselor
Our Mission
To support Beaufort County families that have suffered a pregnancy and/or infant loss through grief support services, outreach, and education.
Our Philosophy
Grief comes in all shapes and sizes. With the Harper Project, we want to help mothers, fathers, and families through the grief process to see the light on the other side.
The Harper Project Angel Wreath
Heather Quinn and a local floral design shop, Branches of Hilton Head, came together to create an Angel Wreath to commemorate the loss of a little loved one.
Featuring a 16″ diameter silhouette of drapey greens and mini white buds, it’s adorned with a simple gray & white jute hand-tied bow and golden ceramic angel wings.
A portion of the sales proceeds of this special wreath will be donated to The Harper Project.
