Hop Aboard, an initiative that was introduced by David Kixmiller, is voluntarily made available to those with an interest in boating. Yacht owners in the Lowcountry community invite Hospice Care of the Lowcountry patients and their caregivers aboard their vessels for a couple of relaxing hours on the water.
Mr. Kixmiller began the program by providing short cruises aboard his yacht, “The Promise.” He has since recruited other yacht owners in the Lowcountry community to join the program.
